I'm glad you're going to take the time to find out about the religion and how it relates to your son's education and life direction. Once you're done, I'm sure you'll know whether your decision fits your family. Get to work, detective. ;-)

I grew up in a Pentecostal church but attended a SDA school for years. They provide a great educational foundation and pretty good basic Sunday school teaching for what they do for Bible Class. My mom was just always careful to go over some of their teachings with me at home to explain the difference from what we believed, particularly in terms of the meat and jewelry and stuff. It helped that she, too, provided a spiritual basis and actual scriptures for our home beliefs. Needless to say, Mickey D's still ruled my childhood. Let me know if you need some additional info about their beliefs in detail, or just give me a call. That Savannah girl has my number in her phone book or you can check your directory if you know where it is. Your son will love his school, and the teacher's words will probably become gospel, for real. Good choice of schools, but it would probably help if you knew how to answer the questions he may have. I was a Christian school administrator, so we can talk about some other detailed stuff too. Use your resources girl.

I don't think there is an answer to the "best" religion to follow. However, this is a best way to live your life based on the beliefs of your religion.

I went to a seventh day adventist school nursery school through 6th grade, nothing is wrong with me. I still ate meat my momma brought me sandwiches and chicken to the school when she was off. You cant wear jewerly other than wedding bands and watches. The only difference is that they truly believe in keeping the sabbath holy at 6pm Friday until 6pm Saturday you arent suppose to do anything.

Well hot damm she's back. I hope.

Interesting post...you defintely want to know what they'll be teaching your son at the seven day school. It's interesting I didn't realize they were veggetarian but then again I don't know anything about them either. I didn't grow up in a church or didn't learn about religion in general from my parents so in college I decided to take a religion course that covered several (hinduism, Judaism, Islim and Christianity) all very interesting.
